On Saturday, August 26, the Minnesota Vikings’ Hometown Heroes were Special Olympics Minnesota swimming champion Matthew Krohn and gymnastics champion Tiffany Carey. Krohn, an Inver Grove Heights native, has competed in Special Olympics since age 8; he won a gold medal in the 25-meter backstroke at the 2023 Special Olympics World Games in Berlin. Carey is from Brooklyn Park and won gold in the Level 2 Women’s All-around Competition. She has won five medals.
