SATURDAY SOFTBALL CANCELED
Due to the Excessive Heat Index Warning, and to ensure everyone’s safety, Special Olympics Minnesota has made the following decision regarding SOFTBALL GAMES for the Summer Sports Classic for Saturday, August 19!
- ALL softball games on August 19 will be canceled.
- Softball games on Sunday, August 20, will be played, but will be shifted to different times throughout the day.
- All teams will now play 2 games on Sunday rather than 3 games over the course of the weekend.
- All HODs will receive the new Sunday schedule on Saturday, as early as we have it available. Please keep an eye on your email for the new Sunday game times for your team(s)!
This decision does NOT impact the bocce games scheduled as part of the Summer Sports Classic, as that venue is indoors.
Although it is not ideal to make a change at this time (the night before the coach pitch and traditional games were to begin), we do feel this the best decision and in the best interest of everyone’s health and safety.
