Interesting fact: December 7 was the official day of Special Olympics Minnesota’s incorporation in 1973!
Schedule (subject to change)
5-6 PM: Community Talent Show
6 PM: Celebration!
6:30 – 9 PM: Cupcakes from Sammy’s Sweets & Nickelodeon Universe*
* Mall of America will generously provide Nickelodeon Universe wristbands to 750 SOMN fans to be used only on 12/7/23 from 6:30 – 9 PM. Get your wristbands after the celebration on a first-come, first served basis. Directions on how to get a wristband will be given during the celebration. You cannot reserve wristbands.
Getting there
The 50th Anniversary Celebration will be held at Mall of America – Huntington® Bank Rotunda.
The best place to park is the East Parking Ramp.
