Special Olympics is the world’s largest sports organization for people with intellectual disabilities: with 4.4 million athletes in 170 countries — and millions more volunteers and supporters. Through the power of sports, people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths, abilities, skills, and success — on the playing field and in life.

Here in Minnesota, Special Olympics offers 16 Olympic-style sports and hosts competitions and events all year in locations across the state.  Like any team, we can’t do it alone.

There are many ways you can get involved to support SOMN and the LETR movement!

Fundraising

Every year LETR volunteer raise money for Special Olympics at a variety of fundraising events like the Final Leg Run, Polar Plunge®, Tip-A-Cop®, Cop on Top, and more. Here in Minnesota, LETR has fundraised $46 million for Special Olympics Minnesota.
