It’s the most wonderful time of the year! MOA® Festival of Trees Presented by KARE 11 Benefitting Special Olympics Minnesota is a free holiday experience at the Mall of America.
At Festival of Trees, visitors walk through a winter wonderland of extraordinary trees decorated by various businesses and organizations and can purchase raffle tickets to win the items from their chosen tree. Trees range in themes and values, some valued at several thousands of dollars! And best of all, 100% of raffle sales and free-will donations support Special Olympics Minnesota.
Purchase 2 or more raffle tickets or donate $20+ at the event, and you’ll receive a limited-edition Special Olympics Minnesota ornament designed in collaboration with Ky’s Kards.
Hi! I’m Kyle, CEO of Ky’s Kards and Special Olympics Minnesota athlete with the St. Michael-Albertville Stallions delegation.
Special Olympics has provided me with lifelong friendships, a competitive outlet, exercise and challenged me to learn new sports like bocce ball. I’ve competed in bowling, basketball and flag football. My Unified flag football team even took home a silver medal at the 2018 USA Games in Seattle!
Ky’s Kards provides meaningful employment opportunities for individuals like me with Down Syndrome and other intellectual disabilities. Each Kard is a tribute to Down Syndrome/Trisomy 21. For example, the berries with holly on the 2022 Festival of Trees ornament feature the extra third chromosome linked to Down Syndrome!
