This event will give prospective Special Olympics Minnesota athletes and young adults with disabilities a chance to experience SOMN sports, FREE health screenings and performance stations. This event is open to any student (and family member) who wants to learn more about Special Olympics Minnesota and our sport, health and fitness opportunities.

What can you expect at the Expo?
- Sport stations: basketball, bocce, bowling, cornhole, flag football, softball
- Unified basketball pick-up games
- FREE health screenings: basic vitals, vision screening
- Performance stations: hydration and nutrition, warm up/down activities, SOfit circuits

Q: Do I need to bring anything?
A: Nope—just yourself! If you plan to try a sport, we recommended that you wear athletic or comfortable clothes.
Q: Are family members welcome to attend?
A: Yes, absolutely!
Q: Do you have to stay the whole time?
A: No. This is an open event, so stop in anytime between 11 AM and 3 PM!
Q: Is there an age limit to this event?
A: No, there is not. However, this event is catered to young adults (ages 17-24) with disabilities who are interested in learning more about Special Olympics Minnesota sport, fitness and health opportunities.
Q: If I’m interested in becoming a Special Olympics Minnesota athlete after the event, what would the next steps be?
A: You can talk to a Special Olympics Minnesota staff member who will be on site; they can answer any questions you have and/or help you start the process of becoming a Special Olympics Minnesota athlete. We will also have resources to find the nearest Special Olympics Minnesota delegation to where you live.
