Athletes can attend this event in person OR virtually (via Zoom).
At the FREE Introduction to Athlete Leadership class, participants will learn about many different concepts of leadership and take the first steps on their leadership journey.
- Explore the definition of leadership, behaviors of great leaders, and basic leadership skills
- Discuss what athlete leadership looks like in Special Olympics and learn about available leadership roles in Minnesota
- Explore different leadership styles
- Leave with a personal mission statement and action plan
Participants are encouraged to attend with a mentor/Unified Partner.
This class will help athlete leaders interested in attending the 2023 Leadership University determine what majors and electives they may be most interested in taking!
