How to become a Champion Delegation
1. Choose a level below.
2. Meet at least 4 of the 5 listed criteria.
3. The HOD must complete a form (in December) with year-in-review delegation details.
Bronze Level – $250
- Sports – Sports participation at at least 1 regional-level competition
- Participation – Offer and run at least 1 recreational sport
- Recruitment – Must recruit at least 5 new athletes to your team
- Health & wellness – Must follow the Delegation Health Pledge or SOfit at practices
- Fundraising – Must participate in at least 1 SOMN fundraiser
Silver Level – $500
- Sports – Sports participation at at least 3 regional-level competition
- Participation – Offer and run at least 5 sports (recreational/traditional)
- Recruitment – Must recruit at least 10 new athletes to your team
- Health & wellness – Must follow the Delegation Health Pledge or SOfit at practices
- Fundraising – Must raise at least $1,000 as a delegation/team in the Polar Plunge
Gold Level – $1,000
- Sports – Sports participation at at least 5 regional-level competition
- Participation – Offer and run at least 7 sports (recreational/traditional)
- Recruitment – Must recruit at least 15 new athletes to your team
- Health & wellness – Must follow the Delegation Health Pledge or SOfit at practices
- Fundraising – Must raise at least $5,000 as a delegation/team in the Polar Plunge
Notes
- In order to receive the funds, HODs must also complete a form (in December) with year-in-review delegation details.
- Half of the funds are released to the HOD and half are paid to the delegation. HODs can “pass on” their half and can either redirect it to a different administrative volunteer in the delegation or allocate it to the delegation as a whole (i.e., deposit it into the team’s Centralized Account).
- All funds will be transferred into the delegation’s Centralized Account, and a check will be cut to the HOD for their half from that Centralized Account.
