Privacy Policy Effective Date: Oct. 15, 2007 Thank you for reviewing our privacy policy. We recognize that visitors to our site may be concerned about the information they provide to us and how we treat that information. This policy addresses those concerns and may be updated periodically.
We strive to respect and protect the privacy of our online visitors. For each visitor to our site, our server automatically recognizes only the visitor’s domain name, not the e-mail address. At this time, no part of our site makes use of “cookies” for user tracking, content customization or any other use.
For purposes of improving our Web site content, aggregate information is collected on what pages of the Web site are visited. We only gather personally identifiable data (such as names, addresses, zip codes, e-mail addresses, etc.) that are voluntarily submitted by a visitor, and we only use such data to provide requested services. To provide such services, it may be necessary for third parties performing services for us or the site sponsor (technical auditors, developers, order fulfillment operations, contractors, etc.) to have access to the personally identifiable data to perform their jobs. Web site visitor information is used for internal Special Olympics Minnesota purposes only. We do not rent or sell the personally identifiable data of visitors and donors, but we may share such information with the third parties that the Web site operator believes may offer services of interest to the visitor, upon government or court requests (voluntary or involuntary) or in connection with a merger or similar transaction.
Security of Credit Card Information We care about the safety of your credit card transaction: secure server technology is used throughout the online transaction process. We will have to share your credit card and other information with our vendors and credit card companies to process billing. We use the https security protocol to communicate with your browser software, which is the industry standard. Contributions may also be made by calling 800-783-7732. Or, if you would prefer, mail us your contribution to the address provided above.
Refund Policy Special Olympics Minnesota will allow for the cancellation or refund of a credit card transaction within 30 days of the date of purchase. Either the purchaser's card will be credited or a check will be mailed via U.S. Post to the purchaser. Questions and concerns can be directed to 800-783-7732.
