Special Olympics Minnesota Seeks Volunteers for Fall Games

Competitions to be held Aug. 20-22 in Maple Grove, North Branch and Oakdale

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – July 20, 2010 – Special Olympics Minnesota currently seeks volunteers in the metro area to help with the 2010 State Fall Games. The Games will take place Aug. 20-22 and include softball, bocce, golf and equestrian competitions. Volunteer opportunities include assisting with awards, registration, facilitating games and much more. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old, and all volunteers will receive a volunteer T-shirt.

Special Olympics Minnesota offers children and adults with intellectual disabilities year-round sports training and competition. Through Special Olympics’ athletic, health and leadership programs, people with intellectual disabilities transform themselves, their communities and the world.
